Mac:

Unfortunately the tracking client has some issues when running on Mac OS with impact on the performance of the mashup. We are working on it! It seems to work ok in Crome.

Live races: Press to watch the races in real time.

Post races: Press to watch everything you didn’t see, or just want to watch again.

Analysis: Press to see how SAP solutions are being used to analyze the racing and help the 505 sailors.

Results: Press to get an overview of today’s results.

Daily schedule: Subscribe to get daily schedules for live broadcasts throughout the whole tournament.

Podcast: Subscribe to get a daily SAP production summary of key moments in the race, and other SAP 505 World Championship video releases.

The live page

The 2010 SAP 505 World Championship Live Page is based on content derived from three different sources.

1: The Pro Team:

  • TracTrac: Live tracking in 2D via TracTrac’s own online application.
  • StreamFactory: Live video streaming from the races via the Sailing Aarhus channel on Ustream.

2: The Mobile Reporters:

Three dedicated amateurs who’ll send a combination of text messages and pictures via smart-phones from three different positions, before, during and after all races.

During races, we have a mobile journalist located on:

  • Referee boat
  • Guard/rescue boat
  • The marina

3: You, me and everybody:

Twitter:

You can use #sap5o5 (that’s an “o” as in overcome) and #sap505 on Twitter and thus participate in the dissemination of the event, and even make your input visible on the live site. It only requires that you create a Twitter user account. It’s free.

How-Tos twitter:

Ustream

You can chat with other viewers in the chat box below the live stream. It requires only that you register yourself as a user of Ustream. It’s free.
