The event management for the 505 World Championship in Aarhus, 2010, has been formed.
The event management for the 505 World Championship 2010 has been formed and in the planning phase it will consist of the following persons:
Event director Thomas Capitani Nielsen
Thomas is full time employed at Sailing Aarhus as exececutive director and was the event director of the 2008 ISAF Youth World Championship which was held in Aarhus. He has studied economics and communication at the Aarhus School of Business and before entering into the sports management world for 2 years ago, he had a long careeer within the media and newspaper business.
When younger Thomas used to race multihulls such as Hobie Cat 16 and Tiger, Dart 18 and Tornado and today he mainly enjoys club racing in keelboats as well as cruising in the family X-99. He has however, kept an old Hobie 17 just for the fun of it - but never seems to have time to race it. Thomas is 44 years old and is living in the middle of Aarhus together with his wife and baby boy of 6 months.
Principle Race Officer Thomas Jørgensen
Principal Race Officer Thomas JØRGENSEN (DEN) is member of the ISAF Race Management Sub-Committee and is chair of the Danish Sailing Association's race management committee. He is an IRO since 2003 and has experience from several European - and world championships as well as from ISAF Youth Worlds 2007 in Canada and 2008 in Aarhus. He was appointed for the 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition.
Regatta Office Manager Steen Hansen
Steen is a member of the Kaløvig Sailing Club and has been in the Race Management groups for several big event, in charge of Race Office and Results, Steen is an expert using SailWave and is also a national instructor teaching other race managers how to use this results program. He is studying in Aarhus at the VIA University College to become a teacher in mathematics and gymnastic. He has completed the first course to become a member of the National Danish Jury group.
Danish 505 Class Representative Tom Bojland
Tom was president of the International 505 Class Association in 2002-2006 as well s National Secretary of the international class in 1996-2001. Tom raced 505's for more than 20 years, he lives in Copenhagen with his wife and two daughters.

Volunteer Ressource Manager Jette Hvid
Jette has spent a great deal of her spare time working in Race Management teams at several big events during the past 15 years for the sailing club Kaløvig Bådelaug. She was the event director among others in Laser Europe Cup from 1998-2000. She has also done a little of sailing herself in keelboats, but not much. She has studied Spanish mercantile language in the Aarhus School of Business, but is now working as an assistant in the department of public procurement in the Region Midtjylland. Jette is 43 years old and live in the countryside with her boyfriend, her dog and her cat.
